Below you will find a list of various LGBT organizations,resources, and services offered at Cal, the Bay Area, and across the nation. These organizations may be helpful to you in finding internships, jobs, social services (including crisis intervention assistance), and political action campaigns. Although this list is updated frequently, it is important to note that this list is not exhaustive.

AVEN

The Asexual Visibility and Education Network hosts the world’s largest online asexual community as well as a large archive of resources on asexuality. AVEN strives to create open, honest discussion about asexuality among sexual and asexual people alike.

Bay Area Bisexual Network

Bay Area Bisexual Network (BABN) is based in San Francisco. Our mission is to develop a healthy, vibrant, multicultural bisexual community in the San Francisco Bay Area and to promote better understanding of bisexual lives and issues within the larger lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) community and the public.

Deaf Queer Community

The Deaf Queer Resource Center (DQRC) is a national nonprofit resource and information center for, by and about the Deaf Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Intersex and Questioning communities (hereafter referred to as the "Deaf Queer community"). DQRC is run entirely by volunteers.

Equality California

Equality California is California’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights and advocacy organization. The organization promotes dignity, safety, and equality for all LGBT Californians.

Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD)

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

Human Rights Campaign (HRC)

The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against GLBT citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.

LGBT & Ally Student Leader

Campus Pride is a national nonprofit organization for student leaders and campus groups working to create a safer college environment for LGBT students. Campus Pride's goal is to develop necessary resources, programs and services to support LGBT and ally students on college campuses across the nation.

National Clearinghouse for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Fraternity and Sorority Issues

Also known as the Lambda 10 Project, the National Clearinghouse for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Fraternity & Sorority Issues seeks to heighten the visibility of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender members of the college fraternity by serving as a clearinghouse for educational resources and educational materials related to sexual orientation and gender identity/expression as it pertains to the fraternity/sorority experience.

The Pacific Center

The Pacific Center is an award winning, grassroots Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community center serving the East Bay and Greater Bay Area. With its mission to foster and enhance the well-being and self-respect of LGBT individuals, the Pacific Center facilitates acceptance, integration and celebration of queer sexual identity, successfully builds community among queer people of the East Bay, and promotes understanding and embracing of all queer people within the general community. The Pacific Center's programs include mental health counseling, HIV services and support, youth development, and peer based education and support.
