Herizons: Cal Women Uniting, a project of the Gender Equity Resource Center, was created to foster a diverse, cross-cultural women’s community at Cal, cultivate dialogue and promote women’s leadership.

The Gender Equity Resource Center invites anyone who ever has, ever will, or currently does identify as a woman to join this project and create a dynamic multicultural women’s community where women can support and learn from one another. Help us create the community that will support and empower you!

The mission of the Defining Her-izons conference is to create a welcoming environment for women* to engage in and explore current issues, their identity and the way they shape the world. Participants will network and learn about resources and opportunities on campus and beyond. This conference will empower, inspire and energize. *We define women as anyone who has, ever will, or currently does identify as a woman.

Round table discussion about the need for women of color to immerse themselves in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and multi-perspective conversations. Why have women of color internalized the patriarchal tool of divide and conquer? Is it time for women of color to form a community? All welcomed and encouraged to attend.
